Principal's Secretary
Mrs. Kayra Knight
Hello, my name is Kayra Knight. I am the Campus Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper at the Hutto 9th Grade Center. Before coming to Hutto, I worked in Pflugerville ISD for almost 16 years as an Administrative Assistant to the Grade Level Assistant Principals and also serving in Round Rock ISD Human Resources Department. With 23 years of service in the education field in several school districts, I am very proud to be serving in my hometown community.
My passion for working in education began in 1994 at a Middle School in Fort Worth, TX, where I was the Attendance/Registrar Specialist for the campus. From there, I never left the education field. I have served in many school districts in numerous cities in Texas, including the University level in Georgia as the Senior Secretary to the Director of Student Affairs. I have done pretty much everything in support of day-to-day Administrative work.
I am inspired daily by my husband and our children and love to spend a lot of quality time with our family. In my spare time, I love to go shopping, traveling and spending time with the newest addition to our family, our grandson.
